Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Sexologist to join our team. The candidate will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and counseling individuals with STIs, HIV-related health concerns, and other sexual health issues. This includes addressing conditions such as premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, and other challenges affecting sexual well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment:
- Diagnose and treat STIs, sexual dysfunctions, and HIV-related health conditions.
- Provide tailored treatment plans and medical interventions for issues such as early ejaculation and erectile dysfunction.
- HIV and STI Management:
- Counsel and support clients living with HIV on treatment adherence, lifestyle changes, and overall health management.
- Conduct follow-up consultations to monitor progress and address concerns.
- Patient Education and Counseling:
- Educate clients about sexual health, safe practices, and disease prevention.
- Provide psychological support and counseling for patients experiencing anxiety or emotional challenges related to sexual health.
- Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with TAAL Healthcare’s multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on sexual health topics to enhance service delivery.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay updated with advancements in sexual health and integrate evidence-based practices into patient care.
Qualifications:
- MBBS with a specialization in sexual health, urology, or related fields.
- Certification or additional training in sexology is highly desirable.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in treating sexual health issues, including STI and HIV management.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong clinical expertise in sexual health and related conditions.
- Excellent communication and counseling skills.
- Empathy and sensitivity in handling confidential and personal health matters.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
